Penalty Shootout

Everyone loves the excitement of betting on a soccer game, and the outcome of a shootout. Get ready for a one-on-one showdown! Study the strikers and goalkeepers stats, place your bets, then make your shot—what will be the result? Guess correctly and you’ll score big!

General

This game is a penalty shootout simulation in which bets can be placed on the result of up to five strikers and one goalie. You can bet on the overall striker result as a goal, miss or save, or on hitting a specific net zone.

Penalty Shootout has a highly reliable dynamic odds generation engine. Game odds are based upon a combination of striker and goalie fitness, weather conditions, left/right kick and additional parameters. The game tracks past 'virtual performance' and adds it to the odds calculations.

You will see five strikers lined up against a goalkeeper for a Penalty competition. Review the information about the strikers and goalkeeper, make up your mind and place your bets. Information about the players is shown on the left pane of the game screen, which contains six information cards (for 5 strikers and a goalie). By default, the card of the striker taking the next penalty kick is open. To switch between players' cards, select the numbered buttons on the left side of the pane. The goalkeeper's card is marked with the letter 'G'.

Placing bets

You can place both Result bets and Zone bets. First, select the striker you want to place your bet on. To place a bet on the strike outcome, three button-type controls are available on the Single Bets tab.

For every striker, you can bet on the following options:

• Goal - the kick is successful;
• Save - the goalkeeper saves the shot;
• Miss - the kick is missed.

You may also place bets on the zone where you think the ball will go. For betting on a zone, a small sketch of the grid divided into 9 sectors (five inside the net and four outside it) is provided. The odds are displayed inside each sector. To bet on a desired zone, click on the appropriate net sector. The selected sector will be highlighted. To remove the selection, click on it once again. Once the bet type is selected, define your stake amount. The stake amount can be selected on the right-hand side of the screen in the Add Bets tab by clicking on the '-' and '+' buttons, or you can enter it manually. Click on the Submit button to confirm your bets.

You can delete your bets by selecting the appropriate checkboxes on the Bet Slip tab and clicking on the Remove selected bets button.

Viewing the Strike

After you've made your bets, click the View Strike button. Enjoy the strike! Once a user proceeds to the strike animation, the game field is displayed on the left side of the game screen. The right side remains unchanged, displaying the Add Bets and Bet Slip tabs. You'll see the striker take the kick and the goalkeeper try to catch it. Each strike is animated, showing how a striker kicks a ball and where the ball hits (or if the goalkeeper saves it).

Game Result

After a strike is taken, a grid displaying strike zones appears over the net and its edges. The exact position where the ball has landed is shown with the ball icon. Zones on which bets have been placed are highlighted with a particular color: yellow if a striker hit the selected zone and the bet won, purple if a striker missed the selected zone and the bet didn't win.

Below the grid, the win amount (if any) is displayed and replay controls are provided. You can watch a replay of each strike in slow motion, frame-by-frame view or even view the strike with the striker removed from the screen.
To continue the game, click on the Continue Placing Bets button. After all strikes have taken place, two options will be provided: you can start a game with a new team by clicking on the Start New Team button, or continue with the same team by clicking on the Same Team button.
