Not long ago, many industry experts believed that online poker would go out like DVDs and boy bands. Didn’t happen.

Online poker has been around for over a decade and it’s still getting prime-time coverage on ESPN.

The game has proven to be as interesting as any pro sport, and because of that gamers still want to get their poker fix whenever possible.

Well, we’re here to tell you can enjoy poker without the sometimes inept human element. It can be annoying trying to play with poker players who make bad decisions that help your competition. For that reason sometimes it’s more fun to sit back and play some cards one-one-one versus the CPU.

So how does Tri-Card Poker work?
Okay let’s say you are the player…

Tri-Card is a 52 card game that consists of the “ante” and “raise” and “pair plus” wagers. The player is trying to receive a higher 3-card poker hand than the dealer to win his ante and raise wagers. The object of the “pair plus” wager is simply to bet on whether you will receive a 3-card poker hand with any pair or better you don’t need to beat the dealer in this part. The player may bet on either or both games for any amount within the posted table limit. The bets can be completes different if you want, it’s up to you.

You start out the game with the dealer giving you three cards after you place your bet while his cards are face down. When you receive your cards you have to decide whether you have a hand strong enough to keep playing or fold.

If you have a three-card hand that you think is better than the dealer’s, click “raise” to double up on your original bet. If your hand is weak, then click “fold.”

Like we said, you can also place a bet on “pair plus” before your cards are dealt to give you a shot at even more cash! If you have a winning pair and bet $5 on the ante, click “pair plus” and “raise” you could win $30 -- double your wager!

The main rules for playing Tri-Card are:

•    Any three-card straight outranks any three-card flush.
•    The CPU must have at least a Queen-high hand to qualify, if he doesn’t you win.
•    Cards are ranked in the standard poker way. From 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace, with 2 being the lowest and ace being the highest.
•    The player gets bonus cash for having a straight or better on his ante bet: 1:1 for a straight, 4:1 for three of a kind and 5:1 for a straight flush.
•    “Pair plus” winnings are paid based on a pay table, paying 1:1 for one pair, 4:1 for a flush, 6:1 for a straight, 30:1 for three of a kind, and 40:1 for a straight flush.
